Dear Student and Parent/Guardian:
I am delighted that your student is in my class this year. We can all look forward to many exciting and rewarding experiences as the year progresses. As I firmly believe that life-long success depends on self-discipline, I have developed a Classroom Management Plan that affords every student the opportunity to manage his or her own behavior. Your child deserves that most positive educational climate possible for academic growth. Therefore, this plan will be in effect at all times.
Classroom Rules:
1. Sit in your assigned seat and begin work immediately.
2. Come to class prepared (homework, notebooks, PENCIL/PEN and materials etc…) and ready to learn.
3. Respect everyone and treat others how you wish to be treated.
4. Make-up all missed work within 5 days after returning to class.
To encourage students to follow the classroom rules, I will reinforce appropriate behavior with an enjoyable, interesting and challenging class.
Consequences, if a student chooses to break a rule:
1st Time: Warning
2nd Time: Alternative Room and Parents Called
3rd Time: Office Referral and Parents Called
Severe Disruption: Student sent immediately to the Office
My students have been informed about the Classroom Management Plan, but I would appreciate it if you would review the plan with your student periodically. I will be communicating with you frequently throughout the year to keep you aware of you student’s progress.
Please feel free to contact me at any time.

- If you are out sick or miss class for another reason, you must make up your work within 5 days of returning to school. It is YOUR responsibility to find out what work you missed and turn in all work on time or to schedule test make-up within the deadline. If you have a problem making up the work in five days, please come talk to me!
